ARF ALUMINIUM RAISED ACCESS FLOOR
The ARF System Raised Access Floor is developed for the offshore- and marine markets, in particular for projects with stringent requirements with regard to strength combined with low weight, flexible installation and low maintenance.
Through modern aluminium technology our ARF system meets all of these criteria.
LOW WEIGHT
With aluminium as base material and simple design the ARF system guarantees the lowest weight in relation to strength for the construction.
Please refer to System design graph.
The low weight of the ARF System compared to other systems also contributes in the HSE area, by way of reduced load for personnel during installation as well as operating the floor, when lifting and replacing panels as required.
FLEXIBILITY
The construction is based on the following simple concept:
Main Stringers with c/c 600mm, and Secondary Stringers as support per 3m.
Flexible placement of Pedestals with distance of 1,5m or more.
Standard Floor Panels measuring 600x600mm.
Optional sizes can be supplied, f.i. 1200x600mm (with c/c of 1200mm between main stringers).
The main stringer foundation system can be utilised as foundation for heavy equipment.
Optional floor finish, such as conductive/non-conductive, oil resistant, vinyl, rubber, etc.
Advantages compared to Competitors systems:
The ARF System is not based on profiles with a grid system of 600x600mm, which obstruct other disciplines during the construction phase.
Furthermore, the stability of the framework is maintained even if the floor panels are removed.
EASY INSTALLATION
The low component weight together with the unique design make the installation simple and fast compared with the traditional grid system design.
Easy operation and floor panel handling with efficient Suction Tool.
ACCESSORIES
The ARF System is supplied with all necessary accessories, such as:
Stairs
Railings
Ventilation Panels
Protective, removable floor finish (during construction)
Floor finish as per Customers’ requirements
Etc.
MAINTENANCE COSTS
Due to the corrosion resistance of aluminium in hostile environments no surface treatment is necessary, with the result of minimum maintenance and servicing expenses. All system parts, other than aluminium, are made of stainless steel and/or corrosion resistant materials.
By installing top quality floor finish, such as Noraplan rubber which is most commonly used, maintenance in this area is close to non-existent as well (except for required polishing).
ENGINEERING
Complete engineering is efficiently performed through thorough planning and detailing Customers’ requirements.
ADVANTAGES OF ALUMINIUM
The properties of aluminium are unmatched by other, less expensive steel materials used by competition. Aluminium does not corrode, it is strong with light weight, flexible and functional.
The relation between strength/weight yield a total weight reduction of 40-50% compared to the traditional steel constructions.
